Case Study

This project required the construction and commissioning of a new 130 Rack Data Center on-campus in Singapore to support the surveillance infrastructure. The project included:

Project Management

  • Providing C-Level executives status reports
  • Ensuring all IT teams were on-track with required tasks, had necessary resources etc.
  • Managing risks, issues, decisions, actions and escalations
  • Financial management, contract administrations
  • Providing information to affected business units when necessary

Construction and fit out of two new data center rooms

  • 126 racks

Installation of new fiber optic backbone

  • Linked Date Center rooms with 27 Electric Low Voltage rooms around campus

Deployment of new fully-redundant mission critical Brocade-based network

  • Wrote and issued all IT RFP, conducted negotiations with bidders and made final recommendation on choice of vendor
  • Oversight of installation works
  • Coordinated all IT works with construction and M&E vendors to ensure schedule was optimised and all services were installed efficiently
  • Oversight of testing and commissioning and handover
